San Fransisco Pro is the absolute best font.

It never ceases to give me a deep feeling of satisfaction & appreciation every single day — something no other font has ever come close to.

I don't understand when people say "I would say —" as they're responding to something.

You are saying. Right now.

Ever since my friend Edison passed away, I've thought long and hard about how to help other addicts outside the normal AA structure.

Today, I started a project to do just that.

Since I'm a licensed insurance agent, and it's what I do all-day every-day, I'm going to help addicts get insurance.

Still working on setting everything up, but if anyone knows anyone who needs help, or would like to help us, please reach out to me!

I love writing, and have really been trying to get better.

My first post on oftheclock.com actually did really well on Hacker News, so I know I’m not *that* bad.

But trying to find topics where I feel I can legitimately add something to the conversation is a real struggle.

Although, after tweeting & blog posting to nothing but web crawlers for 16 years, getting a post to the front page HN was really, really cool and something I want to try again.

So I’m kinda stuck.

Remember when Cash App was over email only? When there was no app?

Good times.

And honestly, I'm still going to make a custom site for it, along with a logo, etc. But they're going to be built around the writing over time, not before the writing.

This time, I just made it simple:

1. Buy domain.
2. Sign up for a new Svbtle blog and connect to domain.
3. Connect email to pre-existing FastMail account.
4. Write — about anything.

Let's see how long this one lasts.

Back to writing.

Honestly, a mistake of mine in almost every previous writing endeavor was on focusing on the form over function. What language to use to write the website, how to make the website look, etc. I'd get so caught up in everything but the writing, do one test post, and abandon the project forever.

Sam Altman, Lately • Of the Clock

A few day ago, YCombinator boss Paul Graham posted an image on X1, giving an explanation on the behind Altman departing from YCombinator’s leadership position. Graham’s attempt to dispel rumors of Altman’s supposed firing didn’t work as well as... | Of the Clock | Hopefully Interesting.

I guess Scientology doesn't teach you how to write above a fifth-grade level when you buy your membership.
