This Bornean keeled green pit viper (Tropidolaemus subannulatus) watches silently as I walked past it, in the Bako National Park in Sarawak (Borneo). Wildlife is not my usual photographic subject, but I like how this turned out. 🐍

C49 Rosette Nebula in Foraxx palette. First light with my Askar FRA400 telescope, decided to go for this target, that I had tried to image previously with my smaller FMA180 scope but I was never really happy with the size and detail. With this longer focal length and higher magnification I am pretty happy with the result. This was taken from my Bortle 7 Backyard using the Optolong L-Extreme dual narrowband filter. I'm also learning how to process the dual narrowband data, and this is my first attempt, following some tutorials online and using the Foraxx Palette Utility script in PixInsight and LRGBCombination to add a bit more luminance detail.

🇬🇧/🇺🇸 The conditions at Nazaré yesterday were incredible. Waves were looking absolutely massive. There was some wind and a bit of rain, but it wasn't too bad. Managed to get a few good shots.
