Creating complex logic for standing tiebreakers in web app

Every year I add features to apps.iubase.com before the start of college baseball season in mid-February. This off-season has been particularly bold as I have wanted to add a number of significant features. While this is a "hobby" project (I don't get paid to do it) it is a relatively significant Python/Django web application with numerous sub apps and well over 200 tests.

“I hate temporal mechanics”

If they were churning out tools that let newbies experience the joy of building their projects on insecure systems, you wouldn't take them seriously as "critics" when they turn around and say the systems they're advocating have fundamental security flaws.

At least, you'd think so, but a lot of you seem to disagree judging by what I see in my feed reader and social media

@RikerGoogling it’s on the underside of the saucer section. Worse than that you have to separate the ship to get to it.
@HikerSelma @jaykuo I played this out in my head to the possible conclusions. I just don’t see how the Democrats could have gotten anything. Given that, I believe caving was the right move. The Republicans were giddy at the opportunity to starve Americans.
@georgetakei What leverage? They had no leverage. The Republicans were thrilled with not paying government employees and starving Americans for as long as it took. Once that became clear, this was the only option I could see.
@QasimRashid Trump and the Republicans were willing to let people starve to death. This isn’t a sports contest. Once they sent the order to pull back money that had already been sent, we knew how far they were willing to go. I hate that the ACA subsidies are ending. Starving people for months would not have helped. This is the only option. Once that was realized, holding out longer made no sense.
@ltning Season 1 has some amazing episodes including a personal favorite: “TKO”. I know it’s widely panned, but I love all of the character moments.
