Hi everyone, I'm currently having an extremely hard time finding reviewers for a paper at @jovi which relates to visualization, simulation, and orbital dynamics. The review version is public at https://www.journalovi.org/2024-rein-rebound/ and the reviews will be public and (optionally) attributed as well. Please ping me if interested, and RT for reach!

Real time, cross platform visualizations with zero dependencies for the N-body package REBOUND

Anyone has a bit of experience with @DOAJ? We submitted @jovi for inclusion, but got a very speedy rejection because it's not publishing enough. I thought the requirement is that a journal needs to have published at least 5 peer-reviewed articles to be included, and JoVI ticks that box?
@owiecc @W_Lucht and one example journal published by Aalborg University is @jovi , the Journal of Visualization and Interaction (founded by @mjskay , @lonnibesancon , @chat and myself).
P.S. it says "student volunteers" in the post, but postdocs are also welcome to join!

Want to help promote open and transparent practices in #HCI and #VIS?
Curious about the inner working of academic publication processes?

JoVI is looking for volunteers to fill in the following positions:

* Assistant to the journal organizers
* Technical co-chair (Open Journal Systems: OJS)
* Assistants to the accessibility chair (2 persons)

See https://www.journalovi.org/posts/2025-04-29-student-volunteers/ for more details, and don't hesitate to contact us with questions!
