One of many things I've missed this year is Mastodon. I'm coming back.

Turns out I'm not great at maintaining a complex server environment. Glad I tried.

I'm going to let snap manage it and migrate everything to an instance hosted on a local machine, which will be solar powered.

More soon 😊

idk if you saw but i uncovered an old typewriter and made some fun art with it. https://joshuagraves.me/art/
Visual Art

Every single part of my life fell apart last year. It all seemed to hit at once, but I am very good at rebuilding and have been nurturing myself since.

I really, really love who I'm becoming. So much lighter, joyful, playful. And powerful.

It's truly that good shit.

Got a new name and it feels all right

new log: feeding your demons https://joshuamauldin.com/log/2023-12-12/
Feeding your demons

I’ve long wondered if fighting off your demons, waging battle after battle against your problems, is the best approach. It’s energy intensive and often feels like you’re fighting the tide. As someone with complex post traumatic stress disorder, I felt exhaustion in the marrow of my bones after wading into some of these battles. Maybe I beat back something or achieved some small victory, but it felt like a losing proposition that came at great cost.

having instagram listen to your conversations to serve ads is cool but have you ever had an astrology app ruthlessly decimate you by reading your mind for no monetary purpose whatsoever
would love less panic, more disco
