Well, even though I believe it's a waste of money, I'm submitting my latest screenplay, Rogue Wave, to 2 script competitions; The Austin Film Festival and The Page Awards. My very first script made the 2nd round at Austin 2 years ago, so who knows. It's just a distraction these days anyway.
Another 1000 words written today, and considering what's going on in the US, that's an accomplishment.
My mood today, and every Monday lately.
I discovered my writer's "voice" by accident a few years ago. It seems that I write prose (books) as if they are screenplays. All of my stories follow the mythic hero's journey, are organized as a series of connected scenes, and replace most internal thoughts with dialogue. Like it or not, that's me!
