If you drag an emoji family with a string size of 11 into an input with maxlength=10, one of the children will disappear.

It’s fun to watch in real time how the arrival of a new guitar device (this time ToneX) causes an avalanche of people selling their old devices. I’ve been guilty of this too, and I’d like to try the ToneX pedal, but I cannot stand IK software. It makes no logical sense to me, the choices they make.

One thing I need to figure out - how do I profile my amp, say a Marshall head, and then use the profile into a real guitar cab? Isn’t a cab required in the profiling process?

Shrinking s01e01 is amazing. Fun to watch with my wife, who is a therapist. And shout out to Pete’s Blue Chip on Eagle Rock Blvd for making an appearance.

I cannot keep this to myself. There is a website (radio.garden) where you can listen to radio stations all over the world for free. No log in. No email address. Nothing.

When the site loads, you are looking at the globe. Slide the little white circle over the green dots (each green dot is a radio station) until you find one you like.

I have been listening to this station in the Netherlands and it absolutely slaps.

EDIT: Replies tell me that this doesn't function in the UK without a VPN.

Welp, I got hit by yesterday's layoffs at Gusto. This was a bummer, because the app my wee team was working on was really starting to come together, and the people there are all super nice.

However, I'm gonna be fine in the end. If you are hiring for Staff-level iOS, hit me up, especially for things involving GraphQL and SwiftUI. Remote only, but I'm available immediately.

@andybaio I was doing just this in 1997-98 at my part time job in Pasadena. The site was athand.com from Pacific Bell. It was a fun job.
