@GossiTheDog definitely was difficult before this.
Damn. Ken Block dead from a snow mobile incident, Jeremy Renner is in critical condition from a snow plow incident, Martina Navratilova has throat and breast cancer, and Damar Hamlin just collapsed on the field in critical condition at this time. 2023 is not fucking around. I hope nothing more than peace and good thoughts to their friends and families.
Lousy Excuses from Managers Today for $1000
@jake The more this happens, the closer we get to a WordPress-style of integration and user-experience. The fediverse growth should be self-sustaining at that point for the foreseeable future.
@malwaretech I cannot love this more.

Just verified with a Twitter test account:

Twitter is now blocking all links to well-known Mastodon instances (including mastodon.social and hachyderm.io) from being tweeted or added to profiles.

Best-case, a heuristic is broken, and it probably has no staff to run it anymore. That's my most optimistic theory, and even I'm not naive enough to believe it at this point.

“Free speech", my ass.

Freedom doesn't hide alternatives from you or try to prevent you from leaving.

@scottjohnson Yes, sir. I can see a service like Digital Ocean or Linode providing a service that basically sets it all up for you to a point but that isn't there today. Similar to how people used to spin up email servers and then enter the Yahoos, Gmails, Hotmails, etc.
@scottjohnson Exactly! I could see a time, if Mastodon/Fediverse continues to grow, where Frogpants has its own server that is a home for the tadpool. They can communicate there as part of the local timeline but also still interact with other servers as a whole. Whether we get there is a different story.
@malwaretech ...what would happen if we put a Grabify link up...
@Tribo Something that Zack and Cambry from JerryRigEverything/NotaWheelChair having been also working towards.
