I am now officially addicted to Vibe Coding.

In under a week of iterating with Lovable.dev and the Gemini 3 API, I have iterated the POC for

Bullshit Detection as a Service https://www.BSDaaS.com hundreds of times.

I am certain it would have taken me many months, a very patient, talented team and 150k+ to get this far.

Is it done? No. Is it ready for beta testing? Fire away.

Do I have any traction? Absolutely not.

Customer Discovery? No.

I user tested the concept for BS detection of climate solutions. Everyone I mentioned it to reacted positively and agreed we needed it. But I didn't ask anyone if they would pay for it.

And now I have a long roadmap in my head for a universal bullshit detector that contains crowdsource specialized agents for niche BS detection.

I still don't know (or really care) who will ever pay for it, but I think we can all agree that there is a lot of bullshit circulating and we need better filters.

Anyone want to join in on the fun?

Well, the jerryverse grew by one instance today. In order to avoid another instance closing, I decided to take it over and that work is 95% complete now.

Welcome convo.casa to the jerryverse.

I would encourage every Fediverse software project to implement a “dead-man switch" on registrations: if nobody with moderator permissions has been active in the last week, then disable new account creation.

The Fediverse has a significant number of abandoned instances that are used by bad actors to create accounts and send spam.

We implemented this in Mastodon (https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/29318) and it has been highly effective.

Automatically switch from open to approved registrations in absence of moderators by ClearlyClaire · Pull Request #29318 · mastodon/mastodon

This is not meant to replace #29280, but supplement it to avoid unmonitored servers keeping open registrations indefinitely. Automatically switch away from open registrations if no user with the pe...

USA Today Headline: **Could Milton become a Category 6 hurricane? Is that even possible?
**
Another example of just making shit up to get us to talk about what is important. I think we will have to call it a "Vance", although this was done in good faith. And we will need to create new categories to describe climate driven weather events.

Could Milton become a Category 6 hurricane? Is that even possible?

Milton’s race from a Category 2 to a Category 5 hurricane has left people wondering if the hurricane could keep ramping up to a Category 6.

Remember when it used to be called "Atlantic Hurricane Season"? I don't remember storms forming and building in the Gulf of Mexico before the last few years. Even Katrina started in the Atlantic, although it accelerated in the Gulf.
