@prietschka this and the price war they’re going to engage in because businesses are like “wait… you mean this is gonna cost tens of thousands of dollars per month instead of $200? I don’t think it’s worth that” are my favorite pieces of news this week,
@prietschka electorally, a guy who’s had this much oppo dumped on him already (haven’t even hit the general and he’s essentially unopposed) is a problem. Hes a gifted communicator but his explanation for a lot of the stuff doesn’t really add up imo.
I didn’t watch the video but not sure what objectionable about the thumbnail wording. It seems accurate unless one chooses to ignore because they like his policies. Maybe he wins but Maine is essential to take the senate and Collins has won before
@prietschka @jolness yeah we’ve been diversifying for some time now.
The exaltation of grifters like Elon musk, the insistence on unlimited growth at all costs and the way normal folks are left holding the bag (I’m sure that OAI/Anthropic/SpaceX will all be added to the major index funds and the private investors will get a huge return while the average person’s retirement gets fucked. This alone is enough to make me cynical about the U.S. and there’s far more. I don’t have an easy out though
@prietschka if you haven’t seen it, Patrick Boyle did a good video about the SpaceX IPO that applies. Apparently they’re working to change rules to be included in major indices so that anyone invested in S&P/DJI etc will have to subsidize the value 🫠

Releases are still pending, but our repositories all received upgraded kernels to address copy.fail (CVE-2026-31431).

So make sure you upgrade to the latest available kernels.

@prietschka i’m sure OpenAI will find a way to make tens of billions of dollars in profit each year by having negative profit margins.
They’ll use ChatGPT to solve it right after they solve “cancer” (which as you know is only one thing not a ton of different things under an umbrella)
Every LLM announcement has at least one section like this:
@prietschka the one plus side imo is that it appeared to accelerate the move away from subsidizing as hard. As each open claw user created thousands of dollars in losses each month, Anthropic was forced to
1) pretend “mythos” was too scary
2) only allow people to burn $2500 in API tokens for $200 each month instead of $5000+
Microsoft, OAI and all the others are (partially) moving away from subsidies sooner than i expected and I think the *agentic power* of open claw is why
@prietschka if I was going to acquire a business for $60 million, I would want it to not have a profit margin of -1000% but that’s just me.
I bet with all the rate limiting and changes, the net margins will only end up being -500% on “AI”. 🫪
