JBQ (John Bacon Quintet), Duende at Silo City, Buffalo, NY. Last show before Jared, the guitar player, goes off to the Army band.
While I'm taking a quick break from my self-imposed social media exile, at long last I have my first batch of homemade compost. My garden plans for next year are possibly too ambitious, but it's time to get serious.
... Or Else Trio, Duende at Silo City, Buffalo, NY
Two of John Bacon's quintet subbing for him today. Until today, I had never heard a version of Miles Davis' So What with wah-wah guitar.
Not sure what this group is called, at Duende Sunday jazz. Elliott Scozzaro Trio was advertised, but these guys all call their friends in when they have a scheduling conflict. It's Mark Filsinger on trumpet, Jared Tinkham on guitar, and Joe Goehle on bass. I've seen them all in different groups.
The David Kayne/Jay Bianchi Project, Buffalo AKG, Buffalo, NY. Last one of the season. I missed the others while I was away. So far it's all Beatles.
John Bacon Quintet, Duende at Silo City, Buffalo, NY.
Indoors because there's an event tonight.
Happy Pride from the CNY Pride parade and festival. Marched with our friends in Syracuse Skate Gang but didn't get any pictures. I was busy holding the banner.
Found out last minute that Max Scherzer was pitching a rehab start here tonight, but we had enough time to make it to the ballpark.
The Messthetics and James Brandon Lewis, 9th Ward, Buffalo, NY
Their Big Ears em set was one of the best things I saw last year. This was probably better.
Not sure what this band is called. It's two members of JBQ filing in for their usual spot. Jared Tinkham, Ed Croft, Jake Payne, Lindsey Holland on vocals. In the cantina at Duende at Silo City, Buffalo, NY.
