I am a journalism/political science major. I spent eight years in corporate communications. And now I'm getting back into writing. I was co-editor of the college newspaper. I was too objective back then. I was also socially anxious. Before texting, I jokingly thought I had to chalk to others via a chalkboard. When texting and Facebook came out, I became too colorful, too opinionated. I'm trying to find my balance, my style, my voice.

I only watched the first two episodes of Breaking Bad. I hear it was a good series. I need to watch it. Nothing quite like encouraging your kid to be a science teacher and running a meth lab as a side gig.

I was on morphine for the first when I was in the ER for intense lower back pain. Not only does it help with the pain, but I felt like I was on cloud nine. Same with hydrochodine. Properly prescribed narcotics work well when you are in pain.

Feast your eyes on the greatest pizza in the world! Lou Malnati's! I lived in a dorm that was blocks away from Lou Malnati's in Chicago. You can have it shipped to you. I bought 6 pizzas for my family for Christmas. I hear Gino's is great, too. There is a lot to see and do in Chicago. I ate at Billy Goat Tavern, watched comedy at Second City, and listened to some blues at the House of Blues. Oh yeah, walked Grant Park, went to Shredds and the Field Museum.

I am still alive and well, considering I've had/having:

- Stage 3 Colon Cancer
- Type 2 Diabetes
- Barrets Esophagus
- Hiatal Hernia
- Stoma Hernia
- Colostomy
- Moderately Anemic
- Kidney Stones
- Mild Sleep Apnea
- Depression/Anxiety
- Obesity

Once I am feeling well after kidney stone removal, going to get back to losing weight, so I can have an ostomy takedown.

Thanks to all the nurses, surgeons, urologists, oncologists, diabetes educators, etc. You are my heroes!

Any World of Warcrafters out there? Is the new Dragonflight expansion worth it?

I think I am on the mend from kidney stone removal surgery.

I got back from a walk at a Wetland nature reserve and notice blood in my urine. I went to urgent care. They thought it could be a UTI. It wasn't. I was referred to a urologist. I've been to the ER a couple of times for intense lower back pain. A CT scan showed 2 kidney stones. One in the uterer and the other in the kidney. Had Schockwave Lithotripsy done. Didn't work. Had utererlogy done and they were able to remove a stone maybe 2.

First-time glass fusing.

I had a utererolgy yesterday to remove two kidney stones.

I see my urologist in about a month with results of my kidney stone analysis, so I can see what it is made of. I really want to prevent future stones.

Besides having pain when I go, lower right back pain when I go, and not feeling like I'm done yet, everything appears to be going well. No blood in urine. No inability to go. And I don't have a temperature over 101 degrees. All warning signs to go the the ER.

Every 24 hours...

My biggest regret when I was living in Chicago was not walking to Grant Park to see former president Obama speak after he won the election.

I did see police cordon off streets and a convoy of black sedans drive by. I wish he rolled down the window and waved. Yeah. I know. Security, security.

I saw him last night on TV stumping for Warnock in Georgia.

Great to see a distinguished president.

On another note, why is Walker running anyways?
