I make the lives of web designers a little bit nicer. I run https://www.weavers.space

“A quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. “

I’m sure you’ve seen this sentence used when looking at fonts. But do you know why? It contains every letter in the alphabet. Interesting right?

@ivory maybe the count was too high? I saw it when tap at the top to get to the latest messages.
@ivory I see it in my notifications but not my home feed
@ivory are their plans to have the unseen counter like in Tweetbot? I like this. It gives you an idea how far you are to the most recent posts.
Anyone know if there are any iOS apps that are focused around administrative tasks for a Mastodon server?
I shipped out some really great work today. So I’m kicking back with a glass of wine to celebrate

Here’s a tip for all you #Ivory users:

You can drag the compose button to ANY corner! That’s right. Just tap, hold, drag.

For lefties like myself, having it on the left side makes all the difference.

@ivory

Ok, so.

Tweets look really good when you send them in Messages on iOS/macOS. Mastodon posts… don’t. So I built a little tool that makes them much nicer to look at:

https://mstdn.link

Add ?to={any Mastodon post URL} to the end of that domain and when you send it to a friend, you get the nice looking preview. Of course the page makes it easy to paste a URL in. And there’s a Shortcut to make it even easier on iOS or macOS.

mstdn.link - Share Mastodon posts better

So now that I can no longer use Tweetbot, Twitter is far less enjoyable to me. Ivory feels like home.

I went down a rabbit hole yesterday and thinking of creating a Mastodon instance for web designers and developers. My thinking is that having a server around common interest would make the “local” feed more interesting and useful. I registered a domain for it…

Is this a good idea? Or waste of time and money?

I wonder the benefits of starting your own server? Thinking that it could be interested to start one that is just for web designers/developers. 🤔
