A Brazilian news outlet is reporting that an on-the-record woman says she traveled with George Santos to the United States in 2011, and that he drained her bank account and pawned her jewelry.

Confirmed. The deal that McCarthy struck with the insurrectionists includes holding America’s economy hostage using the debt ceiling so fascists can cut Medicare and Social Security to the sick and elderly.

@lynn @black_intellect what was lost by removing it? Statues and monuments represent things we revere. They are works of art that take effort to create and are a tribute to a person and what they accomplished. The pro-slavery team lost. As a nation we decided that worldview is completely invalid. They don’t get statues or other works of art in public spaces.

@lynn @black_intellect It’s not performative. Expansion of rights for all people is not a culture war battle, it’s our system of government. Those opposed to equal rights don’t deserve a monument.
