Two wrongs don't make a right: falsely claiming a second primary residence for a better interest rate abuses the federal subsidy meant to help Americans own their home. Not only are these false applications more likely to default, burdening taxpayers, but crowd and deny legitimate applicants, while demand for second homes vacant part-time drives up prices and denies housing for people across market segments.

Even after 47's power play, “two houses for you and none for me” remain a problem.

@DavidAnson Whether AI or human wrote the fiction is separate from denying human subjects informed consent. Even so i recall many felt upset on learning Jack and Rose were fictional characters inserted into a true story. At least at a cinema, your payment, voluntarily entering into transaction with the cinema,
implies consent. A strategy for ethical experiments do at least offer informed consent, though hide the true nature of the experiment from subjects until afterward.

I so concur and consider crosswalks, countdowns, and beepers all cars-first infra. Were not for cars, we’d have no such need—nor the noise, nuisance, and danger. Reframe this perspective.

Let’s seize the surprising cratering in crashes and injury disproportionate to congestion relief we expected in Manhattan. Circumscribe the car!

Congestion pricing critics will have one less reason to say the toll isn't working

More than JSTOR, i blame ADA Stephen Heymann and US Attorney Carmen Ortiz. Such abuse grows worse in 7 days when this power to appoint lands on a vindictive prick who promises shock and awe with a vengeance, unqualified and zealous underlings, and arch-conservative Project 2025 Presidential Transition Plan.

Thank you for the reminder, @davidho.bsky.social I added this to my watch list, but had forgotten actually to watch it.

But we've been assured that wearing bright clothing is necessary for safety. Seems bad that the new tech to enhance safety can't see it. www.freep.com/story/money/...

“It's amazing how pollution has dropped in #Paris in 15 years. @annehidalgo.bsky.social has filled the city with bike-lanes & not only has she reduced pollution by 40% but she’s also been re-elected.” Trading car space for green space, bike space, kid space…trading pollution for people. Good trade.

This bollard served faithfully if just barely. Just a fortnight i parked as illustrated in this exact spot where a truck must've backed into this concrete-filled bollard resting superficially atop soil—rather than sink its footing into the ground. Imagine if bikes had been parked there or i had been standing there parking my bike. @worldbollard @pccmarkets #Issaquah

When will we recognize the emergency ever so unnoticeably boiling our seas and wringing our skies?

When will we stop criticizing cyclists who fear the crush of cars and bang on the halls of city council for want of safe infrastructure?

When will we bash and smash supersized supertrucks like United Auto Workers bashed Hondas and Toyotas in the previous never-so-dire gas emergency?

Lest we not think it’s an emergency… @berkeleylab
