After days of breathing life-threatening air, we finish off the week with life-threatening floods.
Today is Earth Day. An NPR investigation revealed that the vast majority of plastics put in recycling bins eventually end up in landfills or worse places like rivers and oceans. Plastics turned into new things has fallen to 5% and itās only getting worse. Weāre a society now that depends on delivery services and itās contributing to the problem.
So if most plastics are ending up in landfills, why not make the most out of a terrible situation? Weāve started making these at home.
7 years sober today. I no longer go to bed hoping not to wake up the next morning. I no longer am a walking corpse just waiting for the day to end. I no longer dry heave and have the shakes from withdrawal.
Today, I choose to trudge through my beautiful mess of a life. I'm grateful for it. Grateful to be sober.

Itās been nearly 3 years of innocent members of our community being attacked or murdered and the xenophobia continues.
A huge fuck you to The Wall Street Journal. You clearly have traded journalistic credibility for clicks.
A friend sent me this from outside Club Q. Homophobia, hate speech, ājokesā, violent rhetoric used against people of the LGBTQ community lead to this. These fascists dehumanize marginalized communities so they can push their agendas forward while we point fingers at each other. Thereās nothing funny about a personās right to exist.
A GoFundMe has been established for victims of the shooting to help pay for medical expenses and funerals.
Been trying to crate-train our beloved 13 yr old Cooper for a week now and could use some help.
We go on long walks every day, have a dog walker that takes him out for 30 mins, leave a kong/licky mat for him, and play music/white noise but he continues to bark for hours. We live in an apartment building and don't want to disturb our neighbors.
Do I need to be patient and he'll figure it out, or is there more I should do?
