#histodons, how did you prepare for your PhD defense? I don't need slides but I'm not sure what else to do other than re-read the intro/conclusion and jot down some thoughts.
Today's tasks include writing the lit survey on the history of privacy in the US, which I have been avoiding for years because it sounds hard. Anyone know of a good recent review essay?

Genuinely would love to hear stories of people who finished their dissertations with little kids (or other major life stuff/caretaking/etc) without losing their minds. My only model of this is to work yourself to death for the last 2-3 months before defense, and I simply cannot.
