In 1992 Sinéad O'Connor ripped a picture of the Pope in half on Saturday Night Live to protest the sex abuse scandals in the Catholic Church. She was roundly condemned except by a few.
In the years and decades that followed the truth came out and the scope of abuse within the Catholic Church came to light. Many, but not enough, were punished. Many, but no where near enough, victims were heard, believed and lived to see some measure of justice.

The Philippines seemed to have promoted tourism of other countries, and news outlets around the world have criticized the Department of Tourism. What a waste of ₱50 million!

Let them know that Twitter has ended public access to content and that Mastodon is a working alternative *today*. I did this on the weekend with my local emergency folks and this morning I got a reply back saying they had noticed the embedded Twitter feed on their webpage was broken.
They didn't realize Twitter had cut that service. Now, hopefully, they are considering their options including Mastodon.
