@gwagner @noamross still waiting for heat pumps which use dynamic pricing, thermal storage and weather forecasts to optimize their power usage for lowest price. As far as i know - currently there arent any?

WTF?! Die Polizei hat heute eine Schule in NÖ umstellt, weil Schüler*innen bei der #DeinOrt-Aktion mitgemacht haben. Die Sache war (natürlich!) nicht angezeigt, denn es sollte lediglich ein Klimafoto entstehen. Sieht so Demokratie aus, Fr. Mikl-Leitner? ⚠️

@randomwalker same thought. There is always going to be some „preferential attachment“ when it comes to those kind of systems.

The largest instances are currently closed for signups, which actually makes it more complex for new people to join, but will actually lead to more decentralization than what would „naturally“ have happened.

Imho mastodon is currently way to concerned about decentralization.
