@draNgNon Be me, super newb at all of this.

Redditor for 12+ years and looking for something else, never liked twitter or mainstream social media (insta, facebook etc) You see, I’m a #lurker

Here’s what I ended up doing after deleting my Reddit app:

1. Signed up for Mastodon.world
2. Looked up Lemmy and Kbin, joined both via the @lemmyworld and @kbin respectively.
3. Now I’m using Mastodon to #lurk on magazines/threads from across the #fediverse

@waterbottleonashelf @CodingAndCoffee @livus this is what I’m sticking to as a replacement to reddit/app. I’ve been mainly visiting #kbin on desktop but now that it’s federated, a lot of magazines/threads I follow are showing up in my Mastodon app. This #fediverse stuff is great!

@moonnstars im having the same issue, so for now…since I was a heavy app user on reddit, I’m using the mastodon app with the Fedeverse to “subscribe” to #kbin and/or #lemmy instances among others, looks like I’m able to see content from threads/magazines on #kbin.

On desktop, I’ve been mainly sticking to #kbin as the I prefer that UI so far.
