@atpfm @marcoarment Marco in 2026 buying a fleet of Mac Minis to build a bespoke transcription colocation setup versus Marco in 2021 talking about his VPS infrastructure.😅
A real all-timer of a chart.

Do folks ever think about the lives of heavily perfumed people?

Just walked by a guy on the sidewalk and was punched in the face with fragrance. I wonder what his deal is. Is he a secret stinker?

“Oh. … Bingo.”

My goodness, every word of this whole video, but most especially the “after show”. Bravo, Alec.

You are being misled about renewable energy technology.

Secretary Marco Rubio claimed no one died as a result of cuts to USAID. That’s not what we found.

Our reporters Brett Murphy and Anna Barry-Jester and photographer Peter DiCampo are answering your questions on Reddit about the continued fallout of slashing aid for some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.

@jik I didn't miss that, just wasn't sure if the request hinged on the automatic aspect or just achieving a similar end result 🙂 And agreed, it should be a feature!
@jik Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're hoping to achieve, you can approximate the behavior of a shared vault by creating a new vault and then individually granting access permissions to all family members. It's different in that any future new users would need to be added to this vault to gain access (unlike the Shared vault), but otherwise it can serve the same purpose.

My hot (?) take on the extended editions of the LotR movies: they are actively worse than the theatrical cuts.

Saw Return of the King today, and while I had a great time, some takeaways versus the theatrical:

- Saruman's death sequence is kinda lame
- Gimli randomly goes full slapstick walking the Paths of the Dead
- There are some very weird new cuts
-The worst: they really mess up Éowyn’s arc. Saves the day, "I am no man”, but then needs rescuing plus a sad convalescing sequence? WTF man.

@atpfm On the topic of accidental inputs, I'm wondering if it’s just me, but I am unintentionally triggering the camera button on my case-less iPhone 17 Pro 👏 ALL 👏 THE 👏 TIME. I didn't have a 16 Pro so I'm only a few months into owning this phone, but I feel like every other time I pick it up I'm applying accidental thumb pressure there. Am I alone here?

@atpfm After a recommendation from friends, I pulled an Intel NUC from 2016 (!) out of storage in order to set up a "family" gaming desktop for my son—emulating how things were when I was growing up in the pre-laptop era. I grabbed Bazzite, installed it, and had Minecraft and Discord going in under an hour, all presented in a very usable (if still somewhat Linux-y) desktop environment.

I can absolutely see a future where SteamOS and/or other Linux-based environments rule the roost in PC gaming.
