@WiredForFlight @DWTSquawk7600 @JohnOCFII @radarcornflakes I'd find Pan-Pan to be very acceptable in this situation. ATC prioritizing a practice approach over a known generator failure, causing additional flying time for the gen failure, is unacceptable to me.

@User47 90% of people have no clue of the important work government does behind the scenes to keep society stable. Once the faltering of that stability becomes noticeable to the population writ large, the poll numbers will crater.
