It’s incredible how noisy the job market to hire frontend engineers is right now. Maybe it’s LinkedIn. Posted a job ad and 160 applicants applied in less than 2 hours to a hybrid job in Raleigh, NC. Less than 10% were in NC. 80% answered the applicant questions with the same ChatGPT response. The quickest first 15 didn’t even answer the questions even though they were required. The kicker is that not one person mentioned the very obvious Easter Egg 80% of the way into the job ad. 🤯
Explaining to my 8 year old son, what Nazism is, what WW2 was, what Sieg Heil salute is because he knows who Elon Musk is and wonders what his parents are talking about was nuts. I think I unintentionally ended it with "your generation might really look back on us not so fondly."
@musicman Tip of the hat to a fellow JD sufferer. In a remote working world at 155 people, I'm not sure every implicitly is aware of this.
