@kfury Every time I hear a GOP spokesliar cry that the 14th Amendment is undemocratic because it prevents citizens from being able to vote for whomever they want, I want to tell them that people can vote for whomever they want, that doesn't alter the eligibility for office.

300 million people could write in "Jesus Christ" (or Mohammed, or Buddha,, or Vishnu, etm.; pick your baseball card of choice) and that person would have gotten the most votes but would still be ineligible unless being a 45-year-or-more-year-old natural-born US citizen not part of any rebellion or insurrection.
