KaliTrue’s first update
Well, it took longer than I expected, but within the next few days (today is November 18, 2025) I will be releasing my first update to the KaliTrue app, my iOS (iPhone) app to assist people in calibrating their displays so that they show accurate colors. So the best way to show the changes is to show you a comparison of the old vs. the new. So, here's the old "Main" screen: And here's the new version: There's a couple of things to note here: The…

An Open Letter to Aggressive Men
I originally posted these thoughts to FaceBook on November 10, 2013, nearly 12 years ago, but it may be more relevant today, so I'm re-posting. I got to celebrate a friends 60th birthday, and I am jealous he only…

I published an app!
I did a thing! I wanted to name this post "I did a thing™️", in honor of the person who introduced me to the phrase, Jeremy Clarkson. He often uses that phrase when he does something, especially some easy thing so many other people have done before him, and which are a bigger deal to him than to anyone else. But alas, I am also marketing myself and my apps, so I had to be less stylistic and more professional. I promise, resisting the urge to appear…
My first iPhone app (iPad coming later this year) just went live on Apples App Store...
Say hello to my newest creation, KaliTrue, you display calibration assistant
The KaliTrue app is designed to help people calibrate their displays to most accurately reflect colors. A user manually adjusts their display to show a white screen as "pure white", and KaliTrue allows them to measure the screen to see if it's indeed showing pure white, and if not the app tells them…
