Microsoft launched a second-generation version of its AI image model.

According to Microsoft, MAI-Image-2 offers improvements like “enhanced photorealism” and more reliable text generation in images. It’s rolling out now in Copilot and the Bing Image Creator.

In a new blog post about the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Ubisoft sneakily announced Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resycned, a remake of Black Flag that has been rumored for years.

Ubisoft also says to “expect” news “very soon” about Netflix’s live-action Assassin’s Creed series.

Chrome is officially getting split view.

With split view, you’ll be able to put two Chrome tabs right next to each other in one window. It’s already been available for some, but now it’s rolling out for everyone. Seems handy.

ChatGPT ads in the wild.

Adthena, an “AI search intelligence” platform, has spotted ads in ChatGPT, and they can apparently trigger as soon as after your first prompt.

Ads from Expedia, Qualcomm, Best Buy, and Enterprise Mobility are starting to show up in ChatGPT responses, OpenAI told Adweek.

Highguard isn’t dead yet.

Highguard’s website has been down for two days, and developer Wildlight Entertainment reportedly laid off most of its staff last week, but development on the game continues. Last night, Wildlight published notes about a new patch and detailed some changes coming to Highguard’s next patch, including a new raid-focused mode.

GameSir is making a GameHub app for Mac.

GameHub on Android let Sean Hollister play the Steam version of Hollow Knight: Silksong on his phone, and GameSir says its new Mac app is “coming soon.” Gamesir claims the app will let you run Windows games natively, and it’s teasing a new controller, too.

Cross-platform social web tool Bridgy Fed can already send you notifications about DMs it can’t bridge back across platforms, and starting today, Bridgy Fed lets respond to those DMs right inside Bridgy Fed.
