My go-to for music this time of year: Angry Snowmans.

They recently got a write-up in Razorcake that details what the band is about. Following the death of Steve Soto, they did a full-LP tribute to Adolescents. Probably a good place to jump in (before exploring their other, non-Adolescent discography.)

“I feel that artistically, our responsibility is just to try and be as honest as we can and then provide what we’re able to provide. And [Lightwork] is what I bring to the table right now."

At the start of the year, I spoke with Sean of The Spits about the risks of touring during the pandemic.

“You risk it. You got to risk it. Bigger bands that have some money already, they can say, ‘you know what? Let’s take another year off. Smaller bands who were living off that shit, like The Spits – you know, I got to work! It’s just really difficult, man. We want to play.”
