I run DoomRocket. /Really/ into comics.

I want a Jurassic Park movie that acknowledges advancements in science instead of mushing two different dinosaurs together or completely ignoring the first thing I said
JUSTICE LEAGUE #34. New creative change is the shot in the arm this A-list team book needed. Priest's take on DC’s power players energetic, but it gets... weird towards the end. Woods' artwork is slick, vivid. Not the home run debut JL needed, but I'm optimistic for the future. https://mastodon.social/media/kt2xiAT9_I-2D4OQio0
KLAUS AND THE CRISIS AT XMASVILLE #1. I love how Morrison & Mora's KLAUS is now a holiday tradition. Also love the idea of a superheroic Santa making people feel like children again, regardless of genre, era, or universe. /How/ is Mora this good. The ultimate stocking-stuffer. https://mastodon.social/media/aVNfG1adEuiNtbOK16o
you know that "peanut butter and onion" sandwich Fred Savage used to make in LITTLE MONSTERS? I think I'm at a point in my life where I'd fuck with that.
ROCKO'S MODERN LIFE #1. Our favorite wallaby finds a new home in a BOOM! book and it's the tops. Ferrier taps into the show's energy, wit, angst, and melancholy. And McGinty? He's operating on a whole other level. Read this. Have a laugh. Prepare for Nicktoons feels. Like woah. https://mastodon.social/media/dluo4D_r_f-1BaX7gp8
DOOMSDAY CLOCK #1. Worlds-shattering DC event/actual sequel to WATCHMEN has A-grade debut. Johns and Frank definitely squirm in the boots they’re attempting to fill, but it works, even with a 12-panel page that spells out the issue’s pacing dilemmas. Now, a question remains: Why.

this panel has haunted me for eight years

what are these chicken & jalapeño sandwiches comprised of and may I have five please https://mastodon.social/media/pcWAAlF-3n__qFd47kA

knocked out a spoiler-free review of JUSTICE LEAGUE over on DoomRocket http://doomrocket.com/justice-league-review/
Best intentions aside, 'Justice League' is an outright calamity

But it must be said that at its core, 'Justice League' has heart.

DoomRocket

morning, Mastodon! apropos of nothing, here's my 10 favorite films from the last 5 years:

THE WORLD'S END (2013)
GONE GIRL (2014)
THE VVITCH (2016)
HER (2013)
UNDER THE SKIN (2013)
NOVEMBER (2017)
ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE (2013)
FRANCES HA (2013)
A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT (2014)
STOKER (2013)

I'm enjoying the Gwenda Bond-esque episode of #Supergirl this week. "Kara Danvers Teen Mysteries" is a far superior alternative to the current "worst-possible Alex subplot imaginable" going on this season.
