Automatic captions make it difficult to watch videos because the viewer is forced to decipher misspelled or mistranslated words that appear in a string of text without any punctuation. These can be distracting and disorienting. Always edit your captions before publishing.

ChatGPT Foundations for Teachers

Thanks to this referral from Stephen Downes, I learned of OpenAI's New AI Foundations Course. Enrollment for the free Coursera course opened today. As someone who's developed several online courses for Gen AI (e.g. ChatGPT, BoodleBox, Claude, MagicSchool, among others), I was curious to see the contents. My Commitment It started easy... It came up with a nice quote, then jumped right into the content...fairly straightforward:

We now have a political assassin impersonating a police officer on the loose in Minnesota, which, aside from being horrifying in and of itself, underscores the danger of the proliferation of anonymous federal law enforcement deployments from a wide variety of unfamiliar agencies conducting aggressive immigration operations across the country.

Is that uniformed person who's stopping you or demanding entry to your home legit or a psychotic vigilante seeking to harm you? It's impossible to know.

Sighted users often use bold or large fonts to create the appearance of headings in documents. People using screen readers have no way of understanding these visual cues. Use heading styles from the styles menu to correctly format headings.
