It's shameful that Stranger Things were allowed to continue to the finish (and are considered "good", blech.) while Wheel of Time got axed and is generally considered to have been "bad".
People just want familiar slop.
On this last day of the year I learnt how to escape the blue shell with a mushroom.
Pretty great, ngl.
I'm having a bizarre issue with GoFundme.
Ages ago I donated to a medical fundraiser and have since turned off notification emails for updates on any fundraisers I support.
Somehow I was still getting emails from this one particular fundraiser.
So I contacted support, even went through their obnoxious chatbot that didn't help, of course, and it looked like the issue was resolved by a person over at GFM.
That fundraiser is erased from my profile, I can't see it among the fundraisers I supported.
Then after some time of blessed silence the emails started coming again.
It's such a weird annoyance, but I'm so, so incredibly sick of getting constant depressing updates on the health of a very ill person - and they post often compared to other fundraisers.
Obviously this is not me complaining about that person - just Gofundme's systems that are still inexplicably broken and are slowly driving me crazy.
I would deactivate my account, but something tells me the emails would still come even if I did.
I think I'll try to "finish" (for now) my work tomorrow and then just watch all the episodes of Ghosts for the rest of the year.
That's not that many, they're only 5x6 per 30 minutes.
Might need to supplement that with the new season of Strange Tales of the Tang Dynasty.
That could work.
I think Nolan's Odyssey is just a port of the Greek epic to the North. Nothing in the trailer feels remotely Mediterranean. Instead, it’s dominated by dark, boring muddy colors, cold landscapes, trousers, medieval nordic imagery, and even drakkars.
It feels like a vikingization of the Mediterranean tale.
"Draken Harald Hårfagre" is the name of the real viking drakkar reconstruction Nolan has used in the film. You can't go more viking than that.
I should not have tasted clotted cream fudge.
Oh no.
I should draw something, but I just feel totally uninspired and truly defeated by the sate of the world.

The continued excuses by Sven are exactly what I expected.
"Listen, we'll keep using liquid rancid shit in the process of making the cake we want you to buy. But you won't be able to taste any shit in the final product, I promise!"
Cool.
Larian using genAI on the new Divinity game is fucking dire.
Also really stupid somehow? We knew they redo a silly amount of stuff from scratch several times over, but the solution is not to slopify. Come on.
Some incredible quotes, btw:
"Apparently, some Larian devs have resisted the introduction of AI tools"
Yeah, I bet.
"Still, Schreier also paraphrases Vincke as saying that there have been no "big gains in efficiency" as a result of the AI push."
LMFAO
Heads up for Tsui Hark-heads: Criterion will be releasing "The Blade" in 4K UHD! (in March)
