I am 47 years old. I love internet broadcasting, Harry Potter fanfics 80's music, and technology. I have two boys that brighten my days. I am totally blind, but I don't let that stop me doing what I like to do.
just to let you all know I am in the process of moving to a different mastodon thing. if you wish to add my new one it is [email protected] you won't see me using this one much, and eventually I will cancel it, but just thought that you all should know.
I am working on switching to dragoncave.space. once I am approved, that is what I will be using for the most part. I just need to grab the people I am following, and follow them on what will be my new one, if I am approved.
@menelion actually I had someone put a PC speaker in my new computer when we replaced my motherboard, and mine actually does beep, but you have to really be listening for it as it is a very quick beep, and really quiet too. it is an ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING motherboard.

@Camillianna this is very true. when someone acts up, you just remove there account, and not worry about the whole trying to ban IP addresses. smile.
@Camillianna oh you are most certainly correct on that. I just try to be very careful with any tt servers after some issues I had on mine 10 years ago. someone knew that someone on my server had flashback episodes when they heard gunshot sounds, so they would come on, and play it, then when I banned them, they got a different IP address, and did it again. they did this three times, and then I turned the server into a private one with usernames and passwords.

Another reminder, since we got a lot of new people!

Please assume all messages you send on any mastodon instance are not private. While we have no interest in reading your private messages, they are not encrypted in sending or receiving instances, and we cannot guarantee your privacy, especially when they cross instance boundaries.

If you have something private and sensitive to say, take it to another, more privacy-oriented system.

Thank you and happy tooting!

@Camillianna I think a mastodon one would be a bit hard to run, only because you don't know who would come in, and the trouble that could be cause. just my personal opinion of course.
@Camillianna I personally don't know of a tt server people get on. I have my own that I require accounts on, so if someone is a reasonable person, I will generally give them an account if they ask.
@rooktallon I didn't think you could? maybe I am wrong, but I thought I saw somewhere that you can't do dm's, but if I am wrong I hope someone corrects me.
