We recently rewatched Back to the Future, and I’ve decided I feel it’s the greatest motion picture trilogy ever made.

Star Wars OT, Lord of the Rings, Dark Knight, Toy Story, The Matrix, they’re all amazing. But they’re not as consistently good as Back to the Future (though Toy Story is close!)

“But do you really want to live your life on easy mode?”

Yes. Think how much happier we’d all be if our challenges were of our own choosing, instead of dictated by rapacious markets and lunatic governments.

I once hated a book so much I didn’t want to waste any more calories carrying it around. So I left it on the train.

And if my selfish actions exposed you to Dan Brown’s Lost Symbol, I am so sorry.

Labour won an absolutely stonking majority but we’re all talking about the parties with 5 MPs.

Tories would stop government funding for ‘dead-end’ university courses, citing ‘creative arts’ - UK politics live

The Conservative party’s education spokesperson said many such graduates are leaving university with weaker job prospects

I’ll never understand why someone asks for expert opinion and then argues with it.
I’ve seen maybe one Studio Ghibli film, but I almost bought this book on the strength of the title alone. Fucking beautiful work.

Checked my book sales this morning and they’re twice as high this month!

Don’t get me wrong, we’re not talking Dan Brown numbers. We’re barely in Dan Puce territory. But it’s a nice surprise. No idea what’s behind it, though 😄

Is the media just playing it safe when it breathlessly claims Starmer is toast?

Because, if he goes, they can say "look, we predicted that." If he stays, they can just claim he's "hanging on."

But they're probably scared they'd look daft if he went after they'd said his position was secure.

The girls were colouring at the weekend, so I sat down and had a go too. Just what the doctor (Robotnik?) ordered.
