Without looking, what decade was this written? Excellent nugget from @hankgreen on #CrashCourse.

@show the salesperson at Hyundai dealership could not answer questions about warranty language. The documentation was ambiguous and conflicting as to if the battery pack was covered by the power train warranty (5 year) or the 10-year warranty associated with the motors. They swore it was power train, just like the... transmission. I said, EV's don't have transmissions, to which she and her finance counterpart both said "yes they do". Because that's how EV's can change from forward to reverse.

@show $1000 product idea: I think you mentioned owning a 3D printer. I could see a market for custom 3D printed organizers for the central floor tray in the Bolt. I need an insert there that can hold my 1.5L water bottle and not flop around. TE's Bolt accessories, like The Ioniq Guy on YouTube. Others might want phone/tablet holder. Or tissue box holder. Or curry hook and organizer (for the food deliverer). Seems ripe for innovation.

@show I bought a used bolt ⚡ this week! So excited!
@show can we have an episode about 12V batteries, what they power, and how not to run them down in EVs? If an EV can start the air condition remotely, does that use 12V or mains battery? Does it recharge via the mains battery, just without an alternator? Why need to jump ever, it if it is recharged from mains battery?
I'm intrigued by this lithium iron replacement...
But I think I've seen you should NOT jump another car with a BEV? Does that change with LiFe? Confused!

@show hard to phase out completely.
Even though we carry spoons in the car, and tell Dairy Queen no spoons for our blizzards, inevitably we are met with disposable plastics.
Things we can control are almost fully phased out. Next is concentrate laundry detergent (2 bottles remain) and shampoo/conditioner. I've been trying to do homemade condiments but not everyone is on board with that...
@notjustbikes when my dogs were alive, we would walk up and down Magazine Street in New Orleans daily. We'd stop in for pastries and coffee all along our route. The neighbors and shop owners knew us so well, that we'd get invites into most places. And these were two large GSD's. The sensory experience is unforgettable.

@show did Nikki tell us which OBD2 device she uses on her bolt? Might go look at a used one Monday.
@show i thought the new GM system was Android Automotive? Ostensibly to integrate charge locations and range info into Google maps. Is Ultifi the brand name for GM's flavor of Android Automotive? Interesting take, tho, to charge for apps. Podcasts, calls & "voice texts" to Bluetooth seems like a loss. And that's before anything about apple is considered.

I would get a used Spark EV if i could get Android Auto on it. I would be on the Aptera wait list if it offered it.
GM is cutting off access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for its future EVs

GM’s future electric vehicles won’t support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in a move designed to optimize the navigation and charging experience.

@Aminorjourney yay! What is your blend called? Or where do you buy it?
