I use git add -N | —intent-to-add to stage the file, then git add -p as usual. Of course it’s all one hunk, but it still adds that file into my pre-commit review process along with the other changed files.

@michaelwitwicki mastodon for iOS let me tap on the image to type the alt text. I prefer Metatext’s side by side interface though.

@Anzeliane @doofus_canadensis these pictures are from the Crikey! pattern by Emma Bermudez on Ravelry!

@syntaxseed thank you!
The importance of unit tests is often underestimated. Failing test case takes seconds to fix. Failing production due to the same bug takes hours of troubleshooting, retesting and deploying. We don't appreciate how much time we save by having them
@fossil here are Pepper’s pretzel paws as a bonus.
@fossil happy to have serendipitously obliged!
@ian fair enough. I know there are alternatives that are better, and inertia with migrating the many codes is a *thing*.
@ian a heads up that when trying to add only via mobile on iOS, the secret code is formatted with spaces between each 4 character chunk (normally I see it as the single string), and that pasted into LastPass Authenticator with those spaces intact, which I had to strip out for it to be a valid secret format.
Whee - convergence of a Mastodon MFA page output formatting problem, and LastPass Authenticatior input sanitising problem!
@syntaxseed what’s the tool you’re using that’s screenshotted above?
