Rare (? it seems to me) photo of a mostly cloud-free state of Alaska taken around 1pm AK time March 1st. Some highlights:
1. Sea ice around Nunivak & Nelson Island
2. Fire scars showing up as lighter areas around the Interior. Fairbanks roughly in center.
3. Shades of blue around the Kenai Peninsula.

Global total precipitable water from Feb. 20 to Feb. 25 UTC. In other words, how much water is in the air from the ground up.

Look at that tropical water from around Hawaii making its way all the way up to Alaska.

Update on the bird feeder 18 days later.

I waited a while for it to be noticeably less... phallic.

~5 inches of snow at Birch Hill
~8 inches at lower Troth Yeddha'

Anchorage around 6:40am today: double earthquake jolt woke me up. Preliminary 4.9 and 5.0, but I'm not sure which woke me up.
