@caseyliss Would NOT have pegged you for a trip-hop fan.

@marcoarment 1. Amazing. I’ve never gotten to go.

2. I hear that. If you’re willing to give another shot, try either “Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava” or “Quarters.”

@marcoarment 1. How was Phish NYE? Set seemed incredible.

2. Have you checked out King Gizzard yet? The discography is a bit daunting and it won’t all be your jam but I bet you’ll dig a bunch.

@caseyliss I still use Google Apps with a custom domain as my primary Google account and it’s a perpetual nightmare. Just yesterday was denied from logging into my Volvo with it (bought the Volvo BTW, thank you!)

Looks aside, iOS 26 is almost unusably laggy/jittery and buggy. I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro but still.

(It also looks awful, to be clear)

Something truly is rotten in the state of Cupertino. If software quality continues trending this way, and there’s no reason to think it won’t, it’ll be hard not to root for OpenAI to mercifully give us something better.

@Nizdar @caseyliss Big fan for the most part! A bunch of small nits and I did have a battery issue that they appear to have fixed. I’m halfway through a two-year lease.

Honestly just like the R3 aesthetics a lot more. I think there’s a good chance I stick with the I5 even after my lease is up, if for no reason other than the R3 probably not being out yet.

But also, CarPlay.

@caseyliss Dude I want an R3 so badly (have an Ioniq5 currently). Would be an insta-buy if it had CarPlay. So frustrating.

@brentsimmons OK, potentially dumb question—you mention that you’d incur server/database hosting costs if NetNewsWire was a web app instead of a native app, but why exactly?

I.e if the current (native) version of NNW runs entirely client-side, couldn’t a web client as well?
