Had not encountered any of George Lacombe's work before this week. Really liked these two pieces we saw in Amsterdam, and hope to track down some more in future.
Kenny and Dolly are feeling very playful now. Earlier this afternoon, they were visited by Sid, an incredibly friendly French bulldog, but they did not speak the same dog languages at all. Despite Sid's best efforts, they would not play with him, even after he laid himself as flat as a kipper to show how unthreatening he was. Dolly was angrily unimpressed.

Made an emergency diary-free Swiss roll, because little un is feeling a bit better, hopes to return to school tomorrow... and they are going to be decorating Yule logs. You cannot buy a diary-free Swiss roll for any money. Turned out ok though, for a first effort!
A real mixed bag of a month. Not sure I want to tot up the wins/losses. It feels like a high scoring draw, which I'll take, in exchange for some time off, and a book to read. Dogs are always already on holiday, while I stagger towards that.
