I think I am legitimately the only person in the world to ever notice this.
It is unreal how shit the Hannibal TV show is.
If I ask "What is the ideal temperature for a hot bath", the best answer isn't necessarily "40 celsius", it might be "There is no ideal temperature, here's how it actually works", and that's the one I'd want to find! But this page ranking strategy *downranks* the types of pages I'd want for ones that just bullshit an ideal answer to help Google's internal BERT or whatever.
Google's SEO is obsessed with pages that have a bit of text that seem like it gives a Direct Definite Answer, which is terrible because that isn't in fact always the best answer to a question, and it's actually made my search experience significantly worse because that's not actually my intent in putting these queries in.
I feel like Google search ahs gotten distinctly much, much worse over the last month.
