@reboot46 @ThiccGuy69 @james @revoltchat The short answer is I didn't know that either Matrix or XMPP existed when I started the project.

Though in any case, this just started as a passion project with no real goal in mind, and then it slowly grew into something that people actually use, I don't see any reason to abandon it.

There's a lot of unique technical challenges as well, I've learnt a lot working on this project and I think that part of it is invaluable to me.

@ThiccGuy69 @james @revoltchat Yep, we're still here. I did have to pause development for a month since I went on holiday, but I'm getting back up to speed now.

@globcoco @ademalsasa @revoltapp I was previously using GitLab to manage the project but it's not great for collaboration. I moved it all to GitHub to improve the experience for new contributors, take advantage of their superior project management (prev. using Trello then Wekan) and to generally make my life easier when it comes to issue triage.
