I don’t know if it would work for anyone else, but chewing gum keeps me occupied when inattentive and watching something, or any activity where I’d be snacking without noticing.

Other comments mention many other options. But sometimes, none of the tricks work, and that’s usually due to a stressed+bored combo.

I see Daggerheart as a possible introduction to PBtA style games most strictly DnD tables may be willing to try. License-related news turned me off the game, I was indifferent before. But I’m happy that it inspires enough interest in tables who refuse to try any other game than DnD. There’s nothing wrong with only wanting to play DnD, it’s just a pity to miss the opportunity to experience other styles that may be more enjoyable to the groups who force DnD to fill a roll it’s not equipped to.
All I want is the DnD cantrip Prestidigitation. I don’t aim high.
I don’t see Bioware titles on the list. Dragon Age series for fantasy, Mass Effect for sci fi. Since BG3 is on the list, I wanted to mention in case you haven’t gotten to them yet.
+1 to RimWorld suggestion.
+1 for Syncthing, been using it to sync a tablet, a phone and a pc without much problem. Obsidian usually makes a separate note when there is a synch issue, so at least you don’t need to worry about losing your data.
Thank you, I was on mobile and didn’t pay attention. I edited my comment without the tracking, too. No need to have that garbage in there

There was this vid talking about it I’ve stumbled upon:

Never works for me. Sometimes a task just gets less boring and Pomodoro interrupts that. If I super simplify what works for me, I prefer scheduling a task I like after the one I’m struggling to do because I find it boring or stressful. So I keep myself motivated by reminding myself, the next one is fun, I just need to get over the boring one.
Modded Minecraft for sure. But there are a handful of games I keep going back to and common theme for those games that I can listen to a podcast or audiobook while I’m playing them, like Rimworld, No Man’s Sky, Stardew Valley, Skyrim.
