Cosmo and I are tryna figure out how to make this circuit board garden fairy vibe dress into reality for an upcoming STEM fashion show 👩🏽‍🔧🐈‍⬛

The idea is to highlight climate tech, electrical engineering, the problem with e-waste and how tech can be used for sustainability solutions in this wearable art piece... And right now, it's a lot for a girl and her cat.. but we out here trying 😅

I spent Thanksgiving Day playing with motors for a different project and like any good distracted maker, halfway through, I was like oohhhh robot turkey 🫡

So I grabbed my construction paper set, scissors, hot glue gun and soldering iron and made my first hacky robot turkey. 👩🏽‍🔧 It has Glowstitch LEDs and Servo Motors on it too ✨

Since Thanksgiving Day isn't something I really celebrate, this might be my new Thanksgiving Day tradition. To make a new and improved robot turkey every year 🤔

Designed this light up constellation dress for the space gala 🌌

It's easily my most chaotic build. Designed the PCBs, the night before flying to supercon and submitted the files for fabrication at the airport. The Bare PCBs got here the evening before I was flying to Orlando for space gala and I pulled an all nighter to build everything. My soldering somehow survived the flight turbulence and I programmed the dress hours before the event, in my hotel room. But it was worth it 💜
