Except sudo, which has merged all 23 of his PRs without comment. I guess this means their code is either so bad that the LLM is finding all bunch of actual bugs, or that the maintainers aren’t reading his PRs closely. I’m not sure either makes me feel good about the project.

SwiftUI might finally be good when you can use an app for 10 seconds and not immediately think "yeah this is SwiftUI"...

Same with Flutter apps. They are always just so very 'fluttery'.

damn my twitter got banned for “inauthentic behaviours”, whatever that means

Mocking Google for their totally-not-an-attempt-to-DRM-the-Web is the right thing to do.

Open issues on the proposal repo and let them know what you think.

Politely.

But, don't be fooled. Even if they take this back, it doesn't change how they think. This is their intention. They just failed to slip it by this time.

The answer is to take power away from Google. Stop using their stuff. Build alternatives. It's not easy, but it's the only way.

And mock them. That's always fun.

Someone just pointed out to me that, in the SaurikIT v. Apple hearing for Apple’s motion to dismiss, a SaurikIT lawyer accidentally referenced some pretty scathing internal Apple chat messages they found in discovery. This is what Apple employees think of consumer choice.

“[…] they are talking about an iOS update that, quote, broke Cydia Impactor. Where they said, it feels too good to destroy someone’s spirit. We did something else today that will kill him again with a little smiley emoticon.”

Also, shoutout to Steve Huffman and the other Reddit employees involved in a poorly designed smear campaign against Apollo. Not just did it not work, they also forgot the key issue that Christian has already lost what he had to lose (an app he already knew is on vague terms), and Reddit has everything to lose (their reputation ahead of an IPO in a quieter market).

Congratulations, you played yourself 👍

be careful out there

Luz is a next-generation build system that runs on macOS, Linux, and (soon) iOS devices, targeting Apple Darwin-based systems.

Luz has a number of benefits over other build systems, most notably
1. Out of the box rootless support for iOS
2. Python source code for easy contribution
3. Blazing fast speed

Luz is still a WIP, but I'd really appreciate it if you checked out the repo and gave it a star!

While working on updating The Apple Wiki I realised how much history from the iPhone Dev Team has started disappearing. Luckily, much of it is archived by the Wayback Machine. Even better, one of their original domains was available for registration. So I registered it and turned it into an archive project: https://iphone-dev.com/
iPhone Dev Team Archive

This website is an archive of work by the iPhone Dev Team, one of the original iPhone jailbreaking teams, active between 2007 and 2012.
