@henry_miller we don't have to avoid asking for good things in the Midwest until they improve the Northeast Corridor. Having to connect in Chicago is pretty onerous if both your origin and destination are west of Chicago.

Zooming out, another thing that could make Kansas City into a more urbanist-friendly place would be an Amtrak connection to the Twin Cities. Bring it back to its roots as a rail hub!

I can totally echo the data point that kid bike trailers enable grocery runs. Back before I knew about cargo racks and panniers, my car-free grocery solution was to ask my parents if I could have their old trailer that they used to pull me and my siblings around in.

I love how excited your kid got to ride the 21! Next time you're in the Twin Cities, that will be an aBRT line instead of a local bus.
