Free public transport has huge ramifications for society and the economy.

I'm slated for a gastric bypass style bariatric surgery near the end of July. The gastric sleeve won't work for me, so I'm going with the more involved process. Also GLP-1 meds won't work with a chronic digestive condition I have.

I'm doing this for two reasons. First, I need medical assistance for weight loss, because my genes keep getting in the way. Second, I'm trying to set up for success for a large spine fusion later this year.

Does anyone have any anecdotes you can share about the surgery, recovery, or life after surgery? I'm pretty sure I know what I'm getting into, but hey, more knowledge is always better! 😀
