@Reuven ok, but if you do use it directly I assume the lazy import has a downside right? Otherwise you would just put lazy in front of all your imports

With recent Python supply chain attacks (Trivy/LiteLLM), it’s worth mentioning uv’s `exclude-newer = "x days"` config.

It forces uv to only installs packages published more than x days ago, reducing risks since problematic packages should be yanked by then.

https://docs.astral.sh/uv/reference/settings/#exclude-newer

Settings | uv

uv is an extremely fast Python package and project manager, written in Rust.

Astral joins OpenAI, not sure yet how I feel about this.
@mahryekuh kunnen we niet een deal sluiten, in ruil voor nooit meer belasting betalen bouwen we het wel met een groepje 😉
@mijndert you can create "lenses" which you can enable on your search each lens allows you to limit the region, include/exclude urls or keywords, in your search you can also "upvoter/downvote/pin" sites to get more or less/no results from them or report them for ai content. In general it gives you a lot of control on what you see and it gets better over time.
@mijndert maybe because ppl use kagi filters to not get all the ai slop or all the marketing sites that have no content at all, I know I do. You must be doing it right.
@carlton reminds me of me running Red Alert on my 486 and thinking I didn't need the required pentium pc. Till I saw it run on a pentium at a friend's house, his units where moving a lot faster than mine.

@mahryekuh oh god, I hope so, but it usually did the trick for the desk I used to have when it would do something similar except it would suddenly go down and not go up anymore
@mahryekuh have you tried turning it off and on again (unplug for 30 seconds)?
