In all the years I’ve been working on this #CrossStitch project (Mirabilia’s Garden Verses), I’ve never been able to see the full picture while stitching. I use a lap stand with a single clamp, and about the biggest it can handle is an 11” square.

My floor stand from K’s Creations (via Etsy) arrived today. I had a 20” Q-Snap square ready to go, and ended up scavenging an extra 3” extension piece to make it tall enough.

Y’all. I just. I can’t. 🥹

I had an eye infection diagnosed last Saturday and couldn’t wear my contacts for a week, and these days I can’t stitch without the lighted magnifier that I wear like glasses…which doesn’t play nice with my actual glasses. Very very happy to get back to this after the enforced break. #CrossStitch

I visited an LNS (Local Needlework Shop) today for the first time in ages. Managed to escape with only the two things I went in there for (some more gold thread for Garden Verses, and a pack of tapestry needles), but oh man the temptation, and I will be back. There’s always something a little nerve-wracking when you finally bridge the gap between two very separate parts of the pattern, the fear that you got one row off sometime in the distant past and now you’ll have to make something up to cover your mistake. Pleased to report this bridge aligned properly. 😄 #CrossStitch

Progress pic of the bottom right, and I had to stop for an annoying reason: at some point during the years since I last worked on this section, I misplaced my working copy of this part of the chart. I still have the original, so it’s just a matter of making another copy at work and re-highlighting it to keep my place, but for the moment I’m stalled! #CrossStitch
