I've been working with high blood pressure, almost controlled with 3 drugs, for the last couple years. In 8 weeks of working out, I'm verging on low every time I test. It doesn't matter when I test or what I'm doing outside of making sure I get the workouts in. It's kind of mind blowing.
So I started lifting heavy things again a couple months ago, mostly because I was tired of feeling like shit. Decided to go with the Stronglifts 5x5 program to start light and keep it simple since I was weak and hadn't done any lifting in roughly 8 years. Just added up some numbers and even starting that light (with minor adjustments early), I just passed half way to the 1k club with the last two days' working weights. Pretty surprised it's gone so well since I'm also a little over the half century club now 🤣
I was told I'd sleep more / better if I exercised more. So far, evidence says this was a god-damned lie!
