With Safari 26.4, extension settings just got better.
There is now a direct button in the native settings UI to open the options page defined by "options_ui".

In the latest CleanURL for Safari update, I added access from the popover, and now Safari itself provides the same shortcut. Nice consistency and improved UX 👍

Two weeks ago I released the iOS version of FindClose. I built it for people struggling with tiny or deceptive close buttons on mobile ads. The project was also an experiment in agentic coding, with about 80% of the code AI generated. The macOS version is now in its third review. Reviewers seem unfamiliar with the issue, which makes me wonder if this is mostly a mobile problem with limited demand. A quick note on pricing again. CleanURL started as a small, almost hobby-level release, but the response has been much larger than expected, with desktop usage now making up about 60%. Because of this shift toward active development and feature expansion, I plan to move the price from Tier One to Tier Two in about a week. I wanted to share this in advance to stay transparent. if you’re interested, now’s a good time to pick it up at the current price.

This app started from a small frustration during testing my previous extensions, selecting text just to copy it felt cumbersome. I also noticed reviews from users unhappy that some apps don’t allow text copying at all. Along the way, I wanted to experiment with the relatively new Intl.Segmenter API. This is a quiet first release, but I hope it’s useful to some of you.

Happy to see CleanURL for Safari reach the Top 10 in the paid rankings on the App Store. Thank you to everyone who downloaded it and shared feedback. It truly means a lot.

As part of the roadmap, I plan to regularly update and maintain the list of tracking parameters the app removes, so it stays effective over time.

How many languages do you use on macOS?
With large displays, fullscreen apps, and multilingual workflows becoming the norm, this experiment aims to reduce the need to shift your gaze just to check the current input source when focusing a text field. Showing it near the cursor could subtly improve typing UX. Since excellent tools like Input Source Pro already exist, I’m currently debating whether this should ship as a standalone Safari extension or be integrated into TextClipHistory.
