My name's Chris: American, white, male (cis, he/him), born in late 1996, possibly bi, and placeholder adjective. Elsewhere I go by SanadaSan, SankakuSan, SanDwich, or some variation thereof.

In #TropicalRougePrecure, Laura has a unique blue school uniform for apparently no reason and no one says anything about it. It's probably because she's a mermaid, but the school wouldn't know that, would it?

In that light, I made a pair of edits, changing Laura's uniform to match the standard and changing the rest of the group's to match Laura's. Thanks to the wiki for providing a nice screenshot from episode 19: https://prettycure.fandom.com/wiki/File:TRPC19_The_girls_giggle.jpg

I'm afraid you can make out some imperfections in my execution if you look closely; I'm by no means a professional artist.

Something that occurred to me while watching #GoPrincessPrecure is that Towa has pointed ears, presumably a genetic trait in Hope Kingdom: every human(oid?) from there has them.

On Earth, no one seems to comment on or even notice Towa's ears. Granted, they're normally hidden by her hair, but they *are* there, as indicated in settei art. Surely they become visible even briefly sometimes, right? They certainly do when she transforms into Cure Scarlet.

Personally I think there'd be comedy potential in, say, Haruka panicking while trying to make up a lie to justify them, a la Kirk telling the 1930 cop that Spock had an unfortunate accident as a child, getting his head caught in a mechanical rice picker, as one does.

I suspect Kamisato Ayaka of #GenshinImpact is inspired by Cure Beauty of #SmilePrecure to some extent. Consider:
- Blue/white color scheme
- Hime cut
- Kind and gentle yamato nadeshiko
- Prestigious position (high-ranking member of the Yashiro Commission/student council vice president)
- Cryo/ice powers
- Kamisato Art: Soumetsu and Beauty Blizzard are both weaponized blizzards
- Weapon of choice is a sword (Ayaka's can be infused with Cryo, while Beauty's is literally made of ice)

So I had a realization later than I probably should have.

You may be aware that Twitter had hexagonal NFT profile pictures for a time (ended 2024-01-10; see also https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/twitter-hexagonal-nft-profile-pictures).

I recently changed my website's favicon to have a hexagonal background for the sake of contrast while maintaining the motif, but I'm concerned it may come across as NFT-y? Granted, it's not rounded like they were on Twitter, but regardless, what do you think? In other words, are hexagons (still?) inextricably linked to NFTs?

Twitter Hexagonal NFT Profile Pictures

Twitter Hexagonal Profile Pictures, also known as Twitter NFT PFPs, refers to a feature offered by Twitter's premium subscription service, Twitter Blue, that allows NFT owners to make their profile pictures hexagonal crops of their NFTs rather than the traditional circle for other profiles on the platform. While lauded by NFT owners, the feature was widely mocked outside of the cryptocurrency community on the platform, with many claiming they would block a profile with a hexagonal profile picture on sight.

Season 5 of #StarTrekDiscovery will feature a treasure hunt across the galaxy to find an "ancient power" that's been deliberately hidden for centuries. I think that might have to do with the Ancient Ones of Altamid from Star Trek Beyond, though my reasoning might be a bit tenuous.

The season's villain, L'ak, looks a bit like Beyond's villain, Krall. Krall was Human but was heavily mutated by ancient energy transference tech on Altamid. Maybe L'ak was also mutated by the same tech? (continued in reply)

You're telling me these oceanic pearls are trans? #GenshinImpact

So I made another #GenshinImpact #wallpaper, in the same vein as my previous one: https://urusai.social/@hexagonification/110081526303405445

This time the hexagons represent Sumeru Akademiya's six Darshans. Their placements intentionally match the presentation of the event menu for A Parade of Providence (which ended about 4 days before my posting this ), swapping the all-important diadem in the center for the Akademiya's insignia.

Once again, I got the graphics from the wiki: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Sumeru_Akademiya

The version presented here is 2880x2880, but if you'd like the original 3840x3840 version, please visit Imgur: https://imgur.com/H1Hfuvp

Attached: 1 image I made a simple #GenshinImpact #wallpaper, incorporating the game's seven elements into a series of hexagons styled like Vision crystals. Its original resolution is 3840x3840--see the replies for that version. Their placements are meant to reflect their reactions: - The four on the left/right can all react with each other and be Swirled/Crystallized with Anemo/Geo. - Pyro and Electro are plasma or energy, while Hydro and Cryo are more physical and tangible (and phases of the same stuff). - Dendro is a sort of life element, so it makes sense for it to be central. It's also touching the elements it can interact with: Hydro, Pyro, Electro.

I just realized that #Xinyan's guitar (I guess it's more accurately a ruan) has a blade on it (at the bottom of the body), and that blade resembles a lirpa's somewhat. My mental image of her guitar consistently omitted the blade somehow....

I suppose if it was moved to the head and the ruan's body was reinforced (maybe it already is, if it's fireproof?), then she could use it as if it was a lirpa. #PolearmXinyanWhen
