I am the gaming archaeologist on YouTube.
Here you can find new project announcements and general news concerning my YouTube channel

I'm currently trying a fun little experiment on my channel: Every day this week, I'm playing a different game from my library of games that are outside my comfort zone - until I die. Games that I wouldn't normally dare to play and upload on my channel because I'm not good at them. I started on monday with Fallout: New Vegas and played a little bit of Dark Souls on tuesday.

Let's play until I die:

@rolotomassi I can only recommend playing it. It is a very good game, in my opinion.

Playing Sanua's Saga Hellblade II is indeed a crazy ride. So far I like the game a lot. It is an honour to dive once again into Senua's shaken mind.

Besides #CalloftheSea I started to play #Pentiment and am utterly impressed both by the story and graphics of the game. I did not expect it to be that good!

I am really enjoying #CalloftheSea. The puzzles are logical and fun, the landscape is beautiful and the story engaging.
Here I am struggeling with a bit more complex puzzle:)

@twoslipsandagully As far as I would undertand this, but I am not a native English speaker, religion is the higher-ranking term and there is basically only one religion that one would believe in. In the case of Italy in antiquity, it would be a pantheistic religion with lots of goddesses/gods of different hierarchic importance. The temples and cult places are dedicated to specific godesses/gods within this religion, but have different rituals and cults specific to them. Hope that makes sense.
@TinCres Thanks for asking. The Medusa heads are so called spolia, reused blocks from an unknown older building. Whether their orientation in the cistern had any meaning at all is highly unlikely, but not impossible. But as the depiction of the Gorgo Medusa had a protective function in Greec and Roman times, and given that this meaning was not forgotten in the 6th century, when the cistern had been build, it would not make much sense to "invert" it anyway. Hope that answered your question.

Just uploaded the last episode of #SpiritoftheNorth, which will be available on tuesday. The game started a bit clunky, but after the first few minutes I really enjoyed the fox life (or death?).
